Topic Description - Summer 2 2019
Welcome back! Our final topic for the year is Rio de Vida!
In literacy, we will be using the film Rio where Blu, an endangered blue macaw, leaves his domesticated lifestyle as a pet to return to his natural habitat: The Amazon Rainforest! This film will inspire our descriptive writing skills!
In maths, our skills will be built on in all four areas: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; maths will also be incorporated into other areas of learning such as Life Skills, DT and PE.
Our focus in humanities will be geography, where we will explore the depths of The Amazon Rainforest and what animals claim this as their habitat.
Our science lessons this term will focus on what plants need to grow and how animals can be classified.
In Art and Design we will create a range of inspired artwork in relation to carnivals, including masks, piñatas and costumes.
We hope you're ready for a tropical adventure! Keep up to date on our Twitter page to find out what L6 get up to!
