Our topic for this term is Dinosaur Planet!
We begin our topic with a dinosaur visit and an opportunity for children to become real-life palaeontologists - hunting for bones and fossils.
In English, our key text will be ‘Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs.’ We will also be discovering the key features of an information and non-fiction texts.
In humanities, we are covering the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods, ultimately learning about extinction. We will be conducting our own lava experiments and projects in science and researching about our own dinosaurs using ICT equipment. We will also be exploring the outdoors and creating our own ‘Save The Dinosaur’ project through art, media and design.
Dinosaur Poo will be involved as we find out... What came first the dinosaur or the egg?
