Our topic for this term is Bright Lights Big City!
Roll up, Roll up! Welcome to the greatest topic on earth!
Our Bright Lights Big City topic will take centre stage as we explore the ever popular Greatest Showman and discover how the circus started.
Through our topic, we will research how the circus has changed over time, which cities it visits and the diverse acts that partake within shows. Additionally, our exciting visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park will open a debate surrounding animal rights and natural habitats. We will also explore the reasons why animals are no longer used in circus acts in the UK and if they should live in the city.
In English, our key writing will involve exploring the features of narratives, recounts and persuasive adverts. Through Science we will be looking at different forces and energy, including engaging forest schools activities and fire safety. Finally, we have a range of hands-on art & design activities to express our ideas. Follow us on Twitter to find out more....
