Our topic for this term is Mini-beasts
We will discover where in the world you'll find the deadliest mini-beasts - scorpions, ants, wasps and bees... perhaps the venomous spiders are the ones you fear?
We will be looking at what Charles Darwin meant when he said that ‘only the fittest survive’ and how mini-beasts have evolved over time to adapt to the ever changing world.
We will even go in search of mini-beasts, both locally around school and at ‘The Tropical Butterfly House’ in Sheffield as part of our school trip- what will we see? How many legs? How many wings? Who does it eat and who eats it? Can you classify it? Can you draw it or make it?
Will they be a hunter or be hunted? Predator or prey? Let’s find out by stepping into ‘Beast Creator’.
