Nationally expected progress for pupils without SEN was used to set challenging targets in reading, writing and maths for all pupils.

Key Points

The majority of students make very good progress (nationally expected rates of progress for pupils without SEN or more) in Mathematics and English:

  • Reading 89%, writing and maths 86% of pupils made expected and better progress over the 2015-16 school year based on nationally expected progress for pupils without SEN
  • 86% of pupils exceeded their aspirational target based on expected progress for pupils without SEN
  • Almost 60% of pupils made more than nationally expected progress for pupils without SEN
  • Pupils entitled to the Pupil Premium funding matched their peers who do not receive the funding
