Abbey School is a school for young people with SEND. We are a small school based in Kimberworth Rotherham and will have 150 on roll from Y1 to post 16, we are split over the main site at Kimberworth and a provision in the Town Centre

The school has a strong ethos on inspiring youngsters to learn, believing that they are able to overcome any barriers and achieving their absolute full potential as well as a strong CPD for staff development.

We have an immersive approach to our curriculum that is thematic throughout the school. Our classrooms are immersive and allow pupils to work independently and in collaboration together. We are a school that has gone through a massive transformation over the past few years and have made amazing progress to achieving the best possible outcomes for every individual pupil.

Post title: Cleaner - Casual for cover
Hours: Part-time 12.5 hours per week term time only plus additional hours during holidays - 3.30pm to 6pm
Salary: Band B
Start date: As soon as possible

Do you have:
  • Experience of being a cleaning operative.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety and COSHH
  • Are you honest, reliable and have good timekeeping.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Grade C or above in both English & Maths GCSE or equivalent

Voluntary Work

Abbey School welcome requests from the general public, student and colleges to engage in voluntary work. The school will support you with applying for a DBS before allowing you to engage into school life. We value the support that volunteers can give us whether that be listening to pupils read or fundraising on the schools behalf.
