Topic Description – Spring (1) 2023
This project teaches children about Africa past and present and the development of the slave trade. It also explores Britain's role in the transatlantic slave trade, the causes and consequences of the European colonisation of Africa and the worldwide communities that make up the African diaspora. In science this term we studying physics and learning about energy, forces, and atomic radiation. In maths we will be focusing on fractions, decimals and percentages. In English the focus area of writing will be diary entries and we will be reading our new book 'Freedom'.
