When being part of the digital world their are a range of potential issues that can arise within E-safety and these can be extensive, but how we look to support students can be categorised into three areas of considerations:
Content: being exposed to illegal, inappropriate or harmful material
Contact: being subjected to harmful online interaction with other users
Conduct: personal online behaviour that increases the likelihood of, or causes, harm.
We offer our pupils the opportunity to develop their E Safety knowledge and skills not just through the ICT Curriculum, but through PSHE and Rights Respecting curriculum. Pupils are encouraged to use ICT not only to help overcome barriers to their learning, but being safe whilst doing so. Each Class has an E Safety Lion Leader that promotes safety and encourages safe use of equipment.
