Safeguarding children online is interwoven into the curriculum at Abbey with particular focus on ICT/Computing, PSHE and Rights Respecting. By prioritising safeguarding as a thread throughout the PSHE and Computing curriculum, this ensures that the skills and knowledge that children require to keep themselves safe is consistently taught
Our curriculum provides a wealth of opportunities for our pupils to become digitally aware citizens and enhance their digital literacy. At the same time we understand that E-Safety needs to be a subject that is taught continuously and works alongside the opportunities offered for pupils to use new and emerging technology. We want our pupils to be to have knowledge on becoming safe, responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology
Working in partnership with families and signposting them to information that is relevant in our context from family workshops to the E-Safety for families information we provide. provides further opportunities for families to talk about e-safety their child's use of devices and social media.
